Plans, billing, and upgrades
How CarcMail plans work, what each plan includes, how to upgrade or downgrade, and how billing cycles operate.
You can upgrade at any time and your new credit balance is available immediately. You don’t have to wait for a billing cycle to start.
Overview
CarcMail offers four plans. Your plan determines how many credits you receive each month, your daily sending limit, and which advanced features you can access.
Billing is handled through Paddle, our payment partner. All plan changes — upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations — happen through the billing portal in your CarcMail settings. No manual changes are needed from our side.

How billing cycles work
Your billing cycle starts on the day you first subscribe. Credits reset at the start of each cycle. If you upgrade mid-cycle, your new credit total is applied immediately — you are charged the prorated difference for the remaining days.
If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current plan’s features and credits until the cycle ends.
How to upgrade
Go to Settings → Plans
In the CarcMail sidebar, click Settings, then Plans. You’ll see your current plan and the available upgrades.
Select the plan you want
Click Upgrade next to the plan you want. You’ll be redirected to the Paddle billing page.
Complete payment
Enter your payment details in the Paddle checkout. Paddle accepts major credit cards. After payment is confirmed, you’ll be redirected back to CarcMail and your new plan will be active immediately.
Confirm your new credit balance
Go to Settings → Usage to confirm your new credit total is showing correctly.
How to cancel
Go to Settings → Plans
Click Manage subscription to open the billing portal.
Cancel your subscription
In the billing portal, click Cancel subscription. You’ll be asked to confirm. After cancellation, your current plan remains active until the end of the billing cycle. At that point, your account downgrades to Trial (100 credits/month).
Cancelling does not delete your data. Your leads, campaigns, and send logs are preserved. You can resubscribe at any time and your data will still be there.
Frequently asked questions
Can I switch from annual to monthly billing? Currently, CarcMail offers monthly billing only. Annual plans may be added in the future.
What happens if my payment fails? If a payment fails, Paddle will attempt to retry it over the following days. If retries fail, your account will downgrade to Trial at the end of your current cycle. You’ll receive email notifications throughout this process.
Can I get a refund? Refund requests are handled case by case. Contact support within 7 days of a charge if you believe you were billed incorrectly.
Is billing per seat or per account? Billing is per account (workspace). Scale plan adds support for multiple user seats within one workspace — contact us for pricing on additional seats.
Common issues
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Upgrade didn’t apply | Refresh the CarcMail page after completing payment. If credits still haven’t updated after 5 minutes, contact support. |
| Wrong plan showing | Go to Settings → Plans and verify. If a payment completed but the plan didn’t update, contact support with your Paddle receipt. |
| Cancelled but still being charged | Check the cancellation confirmation email from Paddle. If you don’t have one, the cancellation may not have completed. Go back to the billing portal to confirm. |
