Tip:

Your credit balance resets every billing cycle. Plan your monthly outbound volume against your plan’s credit total so you don’t run out mid-campaign.

Overview

Credits are the unit of consumption in CarcMail. Every action that uses AI or sends an email costs a small number of credits. Credits reset at the start of your billing cycle (monthly), and unused credits do not carry over to the next month.

Each plan comes with a set number of credits per billing cycle:

PlanCredits per month
Trial100
Starter2,000
Growth10,000
Scale40,000

How to check your credit balance

Your current credit balance is always visible in the top bar of the CarcMail dashboard. For a detailed breakdown of how your credits have been used this cycle, go to Settings → Usage.

The Usage page shows:

  • Credits used this billing cycle
  • Credits remaining
  • A log of recent credit events (each send, generation, check, etc.)
  • Your billing cycle reset date

What happens when you run out

When your credit balance reaches 0, CarcMail pauses all active campaigns automatically. No emails go out while you’re at 0. Your data — leads, campaigns, inbox connections, send logs — is fully preserved.

You have two options:

  1. Upgrade your plan to a higher credit tier (Growth or Scale). The upgrade takes effect immediately and your new credit total is available right away.
  2. Wait for your next billing cycle. Credits reset on your renewal date, and campaigns can resume automatically.
⚠️
Warning:

Campaign pausing due to 0 credits does not cancel your plan or delete your data. It simply stops sending until credits are available again.

Planning your credit usage

If you want to estimate how many credits your outbound will use in a month:

  1. Estimate daily emails: e.g. 50 emails/day
  2. Multiply by days: 50 × 20 business days = 1,000 email sends = 1,000 credits
  3. Add AI generation: if you generate 5 new drafts per month = 2.5 credits
  4. Add follow-ups: if 20% of leads get 2 follow-ups = 200 × 2 = 400 more credits
  5. Add reply classification: if 10% reply = 100 replies × 1 credit = 100 credits

Total estimate: ~1,500 credits/month — Starter plan would work.
